Good news you are invited to join the teachers and students of Brighton Ki Society at our Summer Camp that we will be holding this year at the One World Festival, Monkton Coombe, Avon from the evening of Friday 14th until midday Sunday 16th August.

The practice sessions will be lead by Robert MacFarland, Go Dan, Chief Instructor of Brighton Ki Society.

For those attending the whole Ki and Aikido camp we have arranged for a specially reduced 2 day rate of the standard One World Festival rate for attendance, food and accommodation.

You will also be entitled during this period to attend the other varied activities of the One World festival which is also a very community and family orientated event. So For further details and application forms see The One World Summer Festival 09 website

For accommodation there are varied rates from camping, dormitory to having your own room. For the food there is a standard menu or an alternative one. To give an idea of the all inclusive price including the Ki & Aikido tuition of 14th to 16th it will be in the order of £150 to £200.

There is in addition also the possibility to attend the festival as a volunteer or worker at a reduced rate but the hours that you will be able to practice at the Ki & Aikido Summer Camp portion could possibly be more limited. You will need to check the One World website for details and fill out the appropriate application forms indicated.

When just making a standard application please indicate under the discounts section in their application form that you will be attending the Ki and Aikido camp for 1/2 Friday whole Day Saturday and 1/2 day Sunday and that it has been agreed that you should just pay the festival rate for two days.

Obviously if you intend to attend the other Festival events for a longer period then you should pay the full Festival Camp rate for the duration they you intend to stay. This you would need to indicate under the duration section of the application form.

Please note except for the exceptions indicated regarding filling in the application form you should arrange to attend exactly in the same way as any other person applying to attend the Festival. So for questions regarding accommodation, food, travel etc please contact the One World Festival.

For specific questions relating to the Ki Aikido portion please contact

Bob MacFarland on 01273 323315.

If you are visitor I would also out of courtesy like to be notified of your Ki & Aikido background, your interest in attending the camp and where you will be travelling from.
